September/October 2015 Book Haul

Over the past few months, I have acquired quite a lot of books.  Mostly due to the Young Adult Literature Conference that I went to in October, I bought a whopping 25 books!

Here are all of the books that I purchased:

1.Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone: The Illustrated Edition

Young Adult fantasy about an orphaned boy who has no idea he is a famous wizard.  The illustrations in this edition are very well done and bring a new experience to re-reading the series! It is a must-have for every Potterhead!

2. The Appearance of Annie Van Sinderen

Young Adult Historical Fantasy involving an aspiring filmmaker and a mysterious girl set in New York City.

3. Blood of My Blood


by, Barry Lyga

This is the third installment in a young adult mystery thriller featuring a serial killer and his struggling son.

4. The Young Elites


by, Marie Lu

This is the new, young adult fantasy series where we see the aftermath of a country struck by a deadly disease. Not only has their world changed forever, but a new group, the Young Elites, has risen with special gifts.

5-7. The Legend Trilogy

8. The Uninvited

9. M. Train

This is a memoir following an artist’s life told through cafes and other events from around the world.

10. Conversion

This is a young adult, historical novel following a prep school who is becoming a hotspot of a mysterious disease where students are struck with seizures and even hair-loss.

In her new, young adult series, we follow six people who are about to try to accomplish an impossible heist.
