wpid-collage-2015-04-30-21_51_35.jpg.jpeg All of the April showers are about to bring those May flowers! Hope you all had an amazing April!  How many books did you read?  1? 10?  Maybe a better question is: How many books did you add to your collection in the month of April… This month, I bought and received quite a bit more books than I have been getting in the past few months, so I decided to turn them into a Book Haul!  This is the first one that I have developed for this blog, so without any more blah blah blahs, let’s get to the good stuff 🙂 I bought/received a total of 10 books this month which include: 20150404_103023The Longest Ride by Nicholas Sparks – Most of you may already know that this book has been turned into a movie that is out in theaters now! This book by the famous romance author is about an older man who is in poor health, and who is also struggling with the memories of his beautiful wife during World War II.  During the same time, we follow a young woman who falls for a cowboy at a rodeo.  Soon, these three lives come together, and find themselves learning more than they thought… – I bought this book at Barnes & Noble while on a book buying spree.

20150404_102929A chapter preview of An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir – If you would like to know more about this, click HERE! 🙂 – I found this FREE excerpt at Barnes & Noble.

Cinder (Lunar Chronicles #1) by Marissa Meyer20150404_102821 – This book is about a girl named Cinder who is part human, part cyborg.  This book contains similar material found in the Cinderella fairy tale, but the book’s content is a whole new level of awesome! Soon the fate of their world comes into the hands of this one girl who is a second-class citizen that no one even takes the chance to notice… – I also bought this book at Barnes & Noble.

20150426_082227Patriot’s Point by Douglas Boren – This book is an adult historical set in the 1790s during the Battle of Waxhaw in North Carolina.  We follow the Virginian Regiment as they battle the British… – This book was a Goodreads giveaway that I won.

The Wicked Will Rise (Dorothy Must Die #2) by Danielle Paige20150426_082240 – This book is the sequel to Dorothy Must Die.  Dorothy Must Die is about a girl named Amy who is a nobody.  She lives in a trailer when suddenly a tornado strikes!  The next thing she knows, she is in not in Kansas anymore.  We follow her as she is tries to wrap her head around the messed up Dorothy world.  Dorothy and all of her friends are now brutally evil!  It is now up to Amy to fix it….  You need to read this series!!! – I bought this online at Barnes & Noble.

20150426_082253Inheritance by Christopher Paolini – This book is the forth in the Inheritance Cycle.  If you want to read more about this click HERE to be taken to my review of book one: Eragon.  I also have reviews of the second: Eldest, and the third: Brisingr.  It is a very good series. – I bought this online at Barnes & Noble.

  1. I’m hesitant about The Longest Ride since so many bloggers claim the movie is somewhat surprisingly better than the book (and that the book wasn’t that great). I hope you enjoy it though. Great haul, happy reading!
